The Colorado mother of four rescued after trapped in her overturned car for six days said that she was always optimistic she would survive. Kristin Hopkins also said on “Today” that she is grateful her kids will be able to “grow up with a mom here all the time.” Both of Hopkins’ feet were broken in the wreck and she drifted in and out consciousness until her rescue. She will undergo two months of physical rehabilitation before getting outfitted for prosthetic legs.
