Top Republican Blasts Wall Street “Mobs”

As some Democrats praised "Occupy Wall Street" protesters, Republicans are generally unimpressed. House GOP Leader Eric Cantor said he is "increasingly concerned" about the "growing mobs" of people in Downtown Manhattan and across the nation who say they are speaking out against corporate greed. "Some in Washington have actually condoned the pitting of Americans against Americans," he said at the Values Voters Summit in Washington. He was likely referring to Democrat House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, who said "God bless them for their spontaneity." Republican candidate Mitt Romney has also accused the protesters of engaging in "class warfare" and rival Newt Gingrich called them "Obama demonstrations." Most protesters probably don't care about picking sides; The Associated Press reports they are disgusted by both parties.
