An intimate letter written by John F. Kennedy to a purported paramour seeking to set up a liaison is one of several Kennedy-related items being sold at auction.
The four-page letter to Mary Pinchot Meyer was written about a month before his assassination. It's signed simply "J."
It reads in part: "Why don't you leave suburbia for once - come and see me - either here - or at the Cape next week or in Boston the 19th." It goes on to say that such a meeting is "unwise" and "irrational."
