It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like a Full Moon on Christmas

It's going to be a white Christmas this year – not necessarily with snow, but with bright moonlight.

Christmas morning coincides with a full moon this year, NASA says. And according to The Weather Channel, it's the first time a full moon will rise on Christmas Day since 1977.

It's rare for Christmas to line up with the full moon. It won't happen again for another 19 years, until 2034, according to The Weather Channel, which spoke to a NASA moon expert.
