Philadelphia Police investigated after a woman was found facedown in her bedroom overnight.
Investigators responded to the 6100 block of Locust Street in the Cobbs Creek section of West Philadelphia late Saturday night after someone found a 49-year-old woman with blood around her face.
Police didn’t reveal how the woman died but they did call the death a homicide.
Investigators could be seen going in and out of the home early Sunday as they searched for clues in the woman's death.
This wasn't the only body found in the Cobbs Creek neighborhood, as the body of a man in his 50s was found along the 5100 block of Webster Street around 7 a.m. Sunday. The unidentified man had a gunshot wound to the left side of his neck.
Investigators made no connection between the deaths.
