Superstar, Will Smith, is pledging a generous donation, of at least $62,000 to the family of fallen Philadelphia Police Officer Isabel Nazario.
Philadelphia Police Officer Mike Young came up with the idea to have Smith match money raised at a benefit held for Nazario.
Officer Young worked with Nazario and grew up in Philadelphia with Smith.
Officer Nazario was killed in September when her police cruiser was broadsided by a teenager driving a stolen SUV.
Tuesday, the Religious Leaders Council of Greater Philadelphia and the Mayor's Office of Faith Based Initiatives will hold a Memorial Service to conclude the period of mourning for Sergeant Patrick McDonald and Officer Isabel Nazario and commemorate the one-year anniversary of the death of Officer Chuck Cassidy.
