Authorities say a van being towed by a school bus on Interstate 81 in eastern Pennsylvania came unhooked and crashed into another car. No serious injuries were reported.

The (Pottsville) Republican-Herald reports Pennsylvania State Police at Jonestown say it happened around 3:35 p.m. Sunday. Investigators say the bus, driven by Howard McCann, 69 of Florida, was heading northbound and that the van became unhooked, crossing the median and entering into the southbound lane near mile-marker 101.

It was then struck by another driver, Sheryl Kay Meyers, 57, of Virginia, who suffered minor injuries to her chest and arm.

Authorities are investigating exactly how it happened.

Southbound traffic remained backed up for hours as crews investigated and cleaned up the crash.
