Stay Lucky and Safe This St. Patrick's Day: Uber

Happy St. Patrick’s Day, Philadelphia! 14% of Philadelphians and 15% of Camden residents are of Irish decent according to Forbes Magazine.

As if all this Irish pride weren’t enough of a reason to celebrate,  St. Patrick's Day kicked off the NCAA games- featuring 3 Philadelphia teams!

Parties and alcohol consumption are projected to be at an all-time high. Amidst all of the fun, Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) and Uber remind YOU to stay safe this St. Patrick’s Day.

Uber has promised to donate $1 to MADD for every ride in Bucks County between 4 p.m. March 17 and 2 a.m. March 18.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports that in 2014, more than a quarter of all motor vehicle accidents involved drunk driving on St. Patrick’s Day.

The NHTSA predicts dangerous driving could continue to be an issue throughout the weekend as revelers continue to celebrate the holiday and NCAA games.
