Teen Injured When Quad Crashes, Rolls on Pavement

A teenage boy was hospitalized after his quad overturned on a southern New Jersey roadway.

Stafford Township police tell the Asbury Park Press that the 15-year-old Ocean Township boy suffered head, neck, back and internal injuries in the crash, which occurred around 1:40 p.m. Sunday in the area of Commodore Road and Cutter Lane.

The teen was thrown from the quad when it rolled over while making a turn. The boy's helmet came off and his head hit the pavement, causing him to lose briefly consciousness.

Further details on the boy's condition have not been disclosed. His name has not been released.
