Teacher Asked for Naked Pictures, Promised Extra Credit: Police

A young Allentown teacher is accused of 'sexting' with 16-year-old student

A math teacher at Dieruff High School in Allentown is accused of asking a student for naked pictures of herself, and asking her to talk about sex. In exchange he allegedly promised her extra points to increase her grades, according to the Lehigh County District Attorney's office.

The investigation started in late January when that 16-year-old student was sent to the principal's office for using her cell phone during class. School officials alerted police after finding out the student had allegedly been receiving "sexts" from a teacher.

That teacher, identified as Timothy Moll, of Emmaus, was charged on Wednesday with corruption of a minor and unlawful contact with a minor. He's been put on administrative leave, according to the Allentown School District.

Moll was released on $20K unsecured bond. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 13.
