Teen Forces Montgomery County Tanning Salon Customer Into Sex Act: Police

A teenager used the ruse of having to use the restroom to carry out a knife-point rape, said authorities in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.

Montgomery Township Police responded to a tanning salon on Feb. 25 after a woman reported being forced into a sex act by an unknown man, said the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office.

Police said Marshall Gibson, 18, entered the salon and asked to use the restroom. The Doylestown man then entered a private room, threatened a woman with a knife then demanded she perform a sex act n him, said police.

The terrified woman complied and then the suspect left, said investigators.

Police used surveillance images of a man wearing a hoodie to zero in on Gibson. They then arrested him Wednesday.

A judge arraigned Gibson on 16 counts including rape, sexual assault, aggravated assault and making terroristic threats then sent the teen to county jail after he was unable to post $25,000.

He faces a preliminary hearing on March 23.
