Officials will hold a topping off ceremony Thursday morning at the SugarHouse Casino in Fishtown, which is in the midst of completing its $164 million renovation and expansion.
The expansion will increase the casino's 108,000-square-foot facility to about 260,000 square feet and add a 600,000-square-foot parking garage. New gaming areas include 44 additional table games, 289 new slots and a 28-table poker table, a first for Philadelphia.
SugarHouse will be adding more non-gaming amenities, including restaurants and 30,000 square feet of event space, with the expansion.
