Thousands of speech, language and hearing professionals are in Philadelphia for an annual convention that will be making an economic wallop of more than $27 million.
The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, or ASHA, will be in Philadelphia Nov. 17-19 for its 80th annual professional education convention at the Pennsylvania Convention Center.
The three-day convention will bring to Philadelphia about 11,000 attendees, including speech-language pathologists, audiologists, and speech, language, and hearing scientists, generating about $27.9 million in economic impact, according to the Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau.
The conference is expected to generate more than 17,100 hotel room nights.
