Gunman Shoots, Kills Driver in South Philadelphia

A man died from his injuries after he was shot in the head while driving in South Philadelphia.

The 25-year-old man was driving a Chevy Impala on the 2300 block of South Marshall Street around 8:15 p.m. when an unidentified gunman opened fire. The man was shot once in the back of the head and his Impala crashed into a parked vehicle.

The victim was taken to Jefferson University Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 8:38 p.m.

Police have not revealed the victim’s identity. No arrests have been made.
