Man Survives Gunshot to the Head

A man survived after he was shot in Philadelphia.

Officials say 16th District police officers were dispersing a block party at 45th and Parrish streets at 12:35 a.m. Sunday when they heard a single gunshot. A 21-year-old man then ran towards them and told police he had been shot in the head.

Police took the man to Presbyterian Hospital. The man told detectives he was shot by an unidentified gunman following a brief argument. The bullet entered the victim’s forehead but did not penetrate his skull.

The man is currently in stable condition though the bullet is lodged in his head.

Police say the victim did not provide a detailed description of the suspect but they believe he was riding a black mountain bike.
