Two drivers were injured, one seriously, after one school bus rear-ended another school bus in New Jersey Wednesday afternoon.
There were no children on either bus at the time of the crash.
The crash happened about 3:15 p.m. on Route 130/206 southbound and Crosswicks Road in Bordentown, Burlington County.
According to the Bordentown Township Police Department, one school bus was stopped in the left lane for a red light when it was rear-ended by a second school bus.
The driver of the striking school bus, identified as 68-year-old Ludmilla Larsen, was trapped and had to be removed by emergency crews. She suffered serious injuries and was transported by ambulance to Helene Fuld Hospital in Trenton. A school bus aide on Larsen’s bus suffered minor injuries.
The driver of the front bus was not seriously injured.
The crash remains under investigation.
