Record number of students apply to Princeton
Hoping to go to Princeton? Make sure you have a safety school in mind.
Princeton University has received a record 27,259 applications for admission to the class of 2019.
Admission Dean Janet Rapeleye said the Ivy League school carefully reads and evaluates every application.
Princeton offered admission to 767 early applicants in December. Other applicants will be notified by late March. About 1,300 freshmen will be enrolled -- that's less than 5 percent of the total applicants.
