Pipe Bursts in Temple Dorm, Students Evacuated

More than 470 Temple students were forced out of their dorm after a pipe burst Sunday morning.

A pipe burst at the 1940 dormitory at Temple’s campus between Broad Street and Liacouras Walk. The busted pipe led to a water leak that affected most of the building. A Temple spokesperson told NBC10 475 students inside the dorm were relocated to the nearby Tomlinson Theater on Norris Street.

Crews extracted water from the building and the students were allowed back inside around 5:45 p.m.
