Organizers of the Philadelphia edition of Diner en Blanc, an impromptu picnic attended by thousands wearing all white, have added a new lottery system intended to give newcomers a better chance of nabbing a coveted spot.
But good luck getting one.
Nearly 1,000 registration slots have been added to this year's event — for a total of 4,300 seats — but with more than 26,000 people on the guest list, getting a spot at this year's event will still leave thousands seeing 'en bleu' and without an invite.
That translates to just a 1 in 6 chance for the wait listers to snag a seat at the pop-up affair.
