Vehicle Strikes, Kills Elderly Man in Northeast Philly

An elderly man died from his injuries after he was struck by a vehicle in Northeast Philadelphia Saturday night.

The 73-year-old man was crossing the street at Byberry and Proctor roads at 6:32 p.m. when he was struck by a dark blue 2007 Honda Odyssey traveling eastbound which then struck a 2009 Chevy Impala traveling westbound.

The man was taken to Aria-Torresdale Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 7:31 p.m. Both vehicles remained at the scene. Police continue to investigate.
