Philadelphia is breaking all sorts of records yet again, this time in terms of hotel occupancy.
Hotel occupancy was at an all-time high in June when it hit 89.4 percent, the highest monthly rate in Philadelphia since a hotel research firm first started tracking the information in 1993.
“June was the strongest month in the over 20 years for which we have records, both in terms of occupancy and average room rate," said Peter Tyson, vice president at PKF Consulting, which compiles its data from hotel research firm STR.
