Pennsylvania Attorney General Kathleen Kane Aide Faces Sentencing for Email Snooping

An aide to Pennsylvania Attorney General Kathleen Kane is set to be sentenced for illegally accessing emails to keep tabs on a grand jury probe of his boss.

Patrick "Rocco" Reese faces up to six months in jail for contempt of court.

Reese is a former small-town police chief near Scranton, Kane's hometown. He made nearly $100,000 a year to her driver and security chief.

The snooping occurred as Kane was being investigated for allegedly leaking grand jury evidence.

Montgomery County Judge William Carpenter found that Reese had violated an order not to interfere with the grand jury probe.

Reese's lawyer has called the contempt finding "flawed and dangerous." He says Reese never knew of the order.
