The largest woman-owned marketing and communications firm in the country ceased operations on Tuesday after 30 years in business.
Voorhees, N.J.-based Star Group Communications, which has offices in Philadelphia, shut down operations this week “due to a situation beyond our control,” the company said on its website.
A memo with a similar message was sent out to employees Tuesday night, warning them of the closure.
“Effective close of business today, it is with deepest regret that we must advise you that due to circumstances beyond our control, Star Group Communications, Inc. will cease to operate,” according to a memo provided to the Philadelphia Business Journal.
