Grand 50-Acre Main Line Estate Hits Market Again at Discount

Linden Hill, a 50-acre estate in Gladwyne, Pa., which had once been owned by the Dorrance family of Campbell Soup Co. fame, is back on the market and the listing price has been reduced to $19.5 million, or $1,348 a square foot.

Two years ago when it was put up for sale by the Burch family, it was being offered for $24.5 million but that may have been too aggressive.

“We discovered it’s hard to comp a property like this and it can be difficult to price them,” said Lisa Weber Yakulis, a real estate agent with Kurfiss Sotheby’s International Real Estate who has the listing. “The $20 million price is a big cut off in Philadelphia.”
