It costs more to park in downtown Allentown.
The city has boosted parking meter rates to $2 an hour in a newly-designated zone surrounding the PPL Center arena, starting Monday. And motorists will have to feed the meters until 10 p.m. instead of 6 p.m.
The Morning Call reported free parking will be available to customers who shop at participating businesses.
