Couple Survives Pennsylvania Home Blast

Officials are trying to determine what caused a home to explode in western Pennsylvania.

Robert Kosko Jr. says he was upstairs and his wife was in the kitchen of their North Braddock home Tuesday when he heard something that sounded like a hand grenade. He ran downstairs and says the house just folded in.

A neighbor used a crowbar and sledgehammer to free the couple.

The blast lifted the home off its foundation, dumped the roof in the yard and ripped the facade off.

The couple says a new gas meter was installed last week.

Officials are trying to determine if that was to blame.
