NJ Man Convicted of Murder in Ex-Wife's Death

Jurors have found a New Jersey man who stabbed his ex-wife 84 times and covered her face with a Halloween pig mask guilty of murder.

The panel in Morris County deliberated about three hours over two days before reaching the verdict on Wednesday.

The Star-ledger of Newark reports 66-year-old Anthony Novellino sat still with a sad expression on his face when the verdict was read.

Prosecutors said Novellino attacked his 62-year-old ex-wife, Judith, after he returned to their home to find her retrieving her belongings soon after they divorced in 2010.

Judith Novellino was a teacher at Morris Catholic High School in Denville.

Anthony Novellino was captured in Washington state several days after the murder.

He faces at least 30 years in prison when he's sentenced on Sept. 12.
