New Jersey School Reopens After Sanitizing for Contagious Illness

Students return to a New Jersey school nearly a week after it was closed because of an illness.

Perth Amboy's William McGinnis Middle School reopens Thursday following an extensive cleaning because an adult who works there was diagnosed with a germ that causes infectious diarrhea.

The school was closed as a precaution last Friday after the woman was sent home and found to have an intestinal bacillus known as clostridium difficile.

The district did not release her name or say what her job is.

Classes for McGinnis students resumed Wednesday at a different school.
