Man Attempts to Lure Underage New Jersey Girl Into His Car: Police

The would-be victim told police she was riding her bicycle on Addison Avenue when an unknown man pulled his car up next to her and said her parents had asked him to bring her home.

Haddon Township police are on the lookout for a man who attempted to lure an underage girl into his car Sunday near the 200 block of Addison Avenue in the Westmont section.

The would-be victim told police she was riding her bicycle on Addison Avenue when an unknown man pulled his car up next to her and said her parents had asked him to bring her home. Instead, the girl rode away quickly.

He was driving a four-door tan or gold sedan with New Jersey plates. Police think it was a 2003 Hyundai Elantra GLS.

The suspect is described as a white man in his 30s or 40s, wearing thin silver-framed glasses. He had β€œnoticeable wrinkles” at the corner of his eyes and above his nose, police said. The suspect was wearing an orange short-sleeved collared shirt. The young girl told police her assailant had hairy arms and a silver ring on his left ring finger, police said.
