You can read more about the Steppy Awards by picking up a copy of One Step Away for $1. It's sold by vendors in yellow vests throughout Center City.
During the months they spent reporting for Faces of Homeless Youth, Lattanzio and Zalot spent time in Covenant House Pennsylvania, the only crisis shelter in Philadelphia that specially serves 18- to 21-year-olds, and on the streets listening to the stories of teenagers and young adults who were currently or had previously been homeless.
