Calm Your Snow Nerves

Chill. Nobody's getting blasted today

U mo

Calm your snow-worn nerves because this latest snowstorm will bring mostly rain on Wednesday. We may see a little light snow, but not much accumulation.

The warm March air, position of the sun and track of the system will ensure that most of the precipitation will fall in the form of rain or wet snow, says meteorologist Glenn "Hurricane" Schwartz.

"If we had this storm in January, it'd be a different story," he said.

But this latest storm is still a Nor'easter that will be turning Wednesday into a dreary day.

"It's gonna be a nasty day with 20-30 m.p.h. winds, gusting to 40 probably," says Glenn. "Nobody's gonna get blasted by this."

And that's thanks to our last major storm, which is pushing this Nor'easter out to sea. Here's the timeline:

6 a.m. - 9 a.m.Slick Side Roads
9 a.m. - 5 p.m.Wet Snow Melts
5 p.m. - MidnightSome Light Snow

And here's the best weather news we've had in a while -- we'll get up to 50 degrees by the end of the week and NO, NO, NO -- there is not a 40 inch snowstorm in sight.
