Jail Time for Disgraced Philly Cops

A pair of former Philadelphia police officers have been ordered to spend at least 10 years in prison after being caught trying to rob a drug dealer.

Thirty-one-year-old Sean Alivera and 24-year-old Christopher Luciano apologized Wednesday for disgracing the badges they wore when pulling over an undercover officer posing as a drug dealer in
October.

Authorities say the officers took $3,000 from the undercover officer's vehicle and conspired with a group of drug dealers to resell marijuana seized in the stop
.

The Philadelphia Inquirer reports police Commissioner Charles Ramsey urged the judge to impose the maximum 67-year sentence on both men, but the judge opted for a 10 to 20 year term.

Both men pleaded guilty in April to charges including robbery, kidnapping and conspiracy.
