A woman has been found dead in a house fire in Pittsburgh's East Hills area, and crews were searching for a man believed to also be in the home.
Public safety officials didn't immediately release the name of the woman whose body was found on the second floor of the home.
The fire was reported about 1:40 a.m.
Crews were continuing to use flashlights to look for the man, who is believed to be the dead woman's husband.
Public safety spokeswoman Sonya Toler says the initial 911 call didn't describe what was wrong, so police responded and found the home's basement on fire. The fire spread, causing the first floor to collapse before crews could control it.
The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
