Someone shot into a home in the Holmesburg section of Northeast Philadelphia Tuesday night striking a 29-year-old woman who was helping a friend cook dinner, according to Philadelphia Police.
It happened on the 4700 block of Vista Street around 8:30.
The shooter or shooters went around the back of the house and opened fire, police said.

The unidentified woman was hit twice -- in the left arm and in her left side. She was taken to a local hospital where she was in serious but stable condition, according to authorities.
Several people, including a 10-year-old child, were in the house at the time of the shooting.
Police believe the house was targeted but it’s unclear who inside was the intended target.
