A former suburban Philadelphia police officer has been ordered to stand trial in a shooting that killed his ex-girlfriend and wounded her 15-year-old daughter last year.
Thirty-two-year-old Stephen Rozniakowski of Norwood is charged with criminal homicide, first-, second- and third-degree murder, attempted murder and aggravated assault, among other counts.
The Philadelphia Inquirer reports that about a dozen local law enforcement officers attended Wednesday's preliminary hearing in Delaware County.
Authorities alleged that the part-time Colwyn officer killed Valerie Morrow and shot her daughter in the arm on Dec. 15 in Glenolden before he was wounded by shots from the victim's husband, a part-time Morton officer.
Officials said Rozniakowski had resigned his position earlier in the day and was served a protection-from-abuse order several hours before the shootings.
