Rainy Monday, Flood Watch in Effect

Rain to become heavy by Monday morning

A flood watch remains in effect for most of the area Sunday night through Monday afternoon.

A wind advisory was also issued by the National Weather Service for areas along the coast.

Rain will develop Sunday night and become heavy by early Monday.

A line of very heavy rain and thunderstorms will develop and move through the area by the end of the morning rush hour.

This line will contain very heavy rain and gusty wind. The heavy rain could cause flooding on many roadways and small streams while wind could gust to near 50 mph.

After the rain ends colder air returns for much of the week. A storm looks to be developing for next weekend and has the potential to bring snow to the area Friday and Saturday
