Elderly Shooter Waives Hearing in Delco Murder

The 72-year-old is accused of shooting and killing his neighbor over construction noise.

The elderly man accused of gunning down his Ridley Township neighbor over construction noise waived his preliminary hearing on Monday.

James Dellavecchia allegedly shot and killed Scott Robins, 42, in the driveway of his Sylvania Avenue home on October 10. Dellavecchia also shot Robins' step-daughter, Kristen Snow, 23.

Snow continues to recover from her injuries in a local hospital.

The ambush was witnessed by one of Robins' co-workers who was waiting for a ride.

Dellavecchia is charged with the murder of Scott Robins and shooting Snow. In court Monday, he entered a waiver on all charges.

He's scheduled to be formally arraigned on December 15.

The 72-year-old remains in jail.
