A prosecutor says the dump truck driver who pushed a car into a New Jersey lake, killing its driver, had three other accidents earlier in the day.
The prosecutor told a judge on Thursday that 38-year-old Daniel Everett rear-ended a car at a stop light, collided with another vehicle and drove over a lawn before the deadly crash on July 17 in Lawrence.
Witnesses told police Everett was driving his 80,000-pound erratically and at a high rate of speed when he hit James McLean's car and pushed it more than 200 feet into a lake, killing McLean.
His lawyer, James Gerrow, told the judge his client was suffering from erratic blood sugar.
Everett is charged with death by auto.
The judge lowered his $250,000 bail to $100.000.
