One person is dead after a car crashed in northern New Jersey.
Teaneck police tell The Record that the crash on New Bridge Road was reported shortly after 1 a.m. Sunday. The vehicle was severely damaged in the crash, and authorities say it was a "lengthy process'' to extricate the two people who were inside the car.
The 29-year-old man who was driving the car was killed in the crash, while a passenger escaped injury. Their names and further details on the accident have not been released.
It's not believed that any other vehicles were involved in the accident, and the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
