Man Torches Girlfriend's Delaware Home: Police

Dover Police say a man set a fire in his girlfriend's home after a fight.

It happened Sunday evening in Delaware's capital. Officers were called to the home for a report of domestic incident, police said Thursday in a news release.

Authorities said there was a fire in the kitchen and a man was seen walking away. Police said the man had argued with his girlfriend, choked her, disabled her car and broke her phone.

Investigators said the girlfriend fled with her two children to a nearby CVS store and called 911.

Thirty-five-year-old Keith Scott was arrested and charged with arson, strangulation and other offenses.

The American Red Cross provided shelter to the woman and her children.
