A car rammed head-on into a barricade near a Delaware County train station Friday evening leaving two people badly hurt.
The single-car crash happened around 5 p.m. at Main Street and Morton Avenues in Morton right by SEPTA’s Morton-Rutledge Station.
The barricade, which blocks part of Morton Avenue that heads towards the tracks, has two “Do Not Enter” signs on it, as seen on Google’s Street View.
A man and woman were taken to Crozer-Chester Medical Center in critical condition, according to Morton Police.
Police say they found an open bottle of Budweiser in the car.
By 6:45 p.m. the crash was cleared and all local roads were reopened.
The investigation, including if alcohol played a role in the wreck, continued through the night.
