Wilmington Police say a 21-year-old man whose dirt bike crashed into a fire truck has died of his injuries.
The department said in a news release Monday that on Saturday afternoon, a ladder truck with the Wilmington Fire Department was responding to a call with all emergency equipment activated. Police say when the truck entered an intersection on a green light, it was hit by the dirt bike, which failed to stop for the red light.
Police say the dirt bike driver, who will not be identified until his family is notified, was taken to a hospital, where he died.
