Delaware College of Art & Design Pursues Small Expansions for Growth

The Delaware College of Art and Design in Wilmington is pursuing small expansions that could accommodate more growth for the school.

The News Journal reports the college plans to occupy the first floor of a new five-story apartment building being built on Market Street. School President Stuart Baron says the college will house sculpture studios at the site and will display students' work.

The college also is renovating the second floor of its Market Street home to house classrooms, computer labs and offices.

The school also wants to renovate one of its two dormitories to accommodate more students. School officials hope to grow enrollment from 200 to 275 students.

The college is known for its majors in photography, illustration, fine arts, animation, interior design and graphic design.
