Dad, Aunt Arraigned in 4-Year-Old's ATV Death

The father and aunt of a 4-year-old girl killed in an all-terrain vehicle crash have been arraigned on charges of endangering that child and four others on the vehicle, including a 14-year-old driver.

Defense attorney Thomas Dickey says the endangerment charges should pertain to purposeful abuse, not a "tragic accident" like the one that killed Tailynn Felker, of Summit Township.

The girl's father, 28-year-old Bradley Felker, and her aunt, 40-year-old Stacy Felker - who owned the vehicle and is the mother of the driver- were charged because state police say they let the children ride without helmets before the Oct. 27 crash.

The Felkers are from Meyersdale. Police haven't released the names of the other children -- a 1-year-old boy, a 3-year-old girl and a 9-year-old girl.
