Chobani CEO Becomes La Colombe's Majority Owner

The man behind popular Greek yogurt brand Chobani has become the majority owner in La Colombe Torrefaction, although the CEO of the Philly-based coffee roaster will remain in his executive role.

Hamdi Ulukaya, founder, CEO and chairman of Chobani, has become the Philadelphia-based coffee roaster's sole investor, but he will have no board responsibilities and he will continue in his leadership positions with the yogurt brand.

La Colombe co-founder JP Iberti will also continue in his current capacity, which includes leading the company in the design of its urban cafes, according to the firm's website. Co-founder Todd Carmichael will continue as CEO.
