An exploding device damaged an unoccupied car in Delaware.
No injuries were reported in the explosion late Sunday night near the Pine Valley Apartments along South DuPont Highway, Assistant State Fire Marshal Michael Chionchio said.
The New Castle County Police Department's Explosive Ordnance Disposal unit responded after a suspicious package was found on the scene, Chionchio said, but that package was not a device.
Other items were collected at the scene as evidence in in blast, Chionchio said.
No further information was released. The fire marshal's office asked anyone with information to call 302-323-5375 or Crime Stoppers at 800-TIP-3333.
