Bethlehem's Sands Casino May Have New Owner

Employees have been told that an eastern Pennsylvania casino may be sold.

The Allentown Morning Call first reported that employees of Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem were told about the sale in an email Thursday morning.

Sands Bethlehem president Mark Juliano, who sent the email, declined comment on it and referred questions to a spokesman for the casino's parent company, Las Vegas Sands Corp. The company released a statement saying it "is regularly approached about potential interest in various assets" but has no announcement to make at this time.

The email tells employees that "Sands Bethlehem has a potential buyer." The note goes on to say, "The sale is not imminent and there is a lot of work that still needs to be done before a sale is final."
