A 25-year-old accused of robbing four banks and attempting to rob another during a monthlong spree in New Jersey has been arrested.
Quentin Morales appeared in federal court Wednesday on charges of bank robbery and attempted bank robbery in the theft of nearly $7,100 between June 24 and July 13.
Authorities say Morales robbed Wells Fargo branches in Kearny, Kenilworth, Linden and Clifton, and attempted to rob a Capital One branch in Elizabeth. Investigators say Morales told bank tellers he had a gun and urged them to hurry on at least two occasions.
A judge appointed a public defender to represent Morales.
