Body Found in Debris of Large Trenton House Fire

At least one person was hospitalized and another person died as flames tore through a Trenton, New Jersey, home Tuesday night

Mercer County officials are calling a large house fire in Trenton, New Jersey, that left a man dead and another person hurt suspicious.

The three-alarm fire started at a home on the 700 block of Southard Street Tuesday around 8:30 p.m. SkyForce10 was over the scene as flames and heavy smoke rose from the roof. Several people had to be rescued from the home. 

At least one person was hospitalized. Officials have not yet revealed his or her condition.

Once the flames were out, firefighters found a dead man in the charred home, Mercer County officials said Wednesday.

County and local police and arson investigators are looking into the deadly blaze. Investigators asked anyone with information on the fire to call (609) 989-6406.
