The wandering three-year-old boy has finally been reunited with his family.
The boy, Mark—this is the name he gave authorities—was found walking unsupervised in the Frankford section of Philadelphia Monday morning, around 9 a.m.
Mark spent all day with the Department of Human Services.
"All we can think of is that maybe a relative was taking care of the child and maybe there was some health issues there and the baby just walked out," said Philadelphia Police lieutenant Ray Evers.
Finally, a little after 7 p.m., NBC Philadelphia was notified that the mother and grandmother of the toddler had been located. Authorities are currently interviewing them.
No foul play is suspected at this time.
